What is the Sciton Halo laser?
The Sciton Halo is an innovative hybrid fractional laser delivering two wavelengths (ablative and non-ablative) simultaneously. It can be used to combat broken capillaries, sun damage and other skin imperfections on the face, neck, chest and legs. The ablative wavelength removes superficial damage from the complexion, while the non-ablative laser energy goes deeper to help stimulate the regeneration of healthy tissue.

How does the Halo Laser work?
Synchronized Velocity
The handpiece is equipped with an optical navigation system to capture its motion and align pulse delivery with the speed of treatment. An LED Visual Speedometer provides instantaneous feedback that is both visual and audible to ensure that the best results possible are achieved.
Beam placement is precise and adjustable
The size (15mm, 7mm, or 4mm) and position (left or right) can be adjusted to administer the laser beams to specific areas, such as distinct edges and scars.
Dynamic Thermal Optimization
Dynamic Thermal Optimization controls the power of each pulse from the device based on the patient’s skin temperature. It is this aspect of HALO that makes it the most precise, safe, and comfortable non-ablative dermal device available today.
Smart Energy Delivery
The HALO handpiece includes a proprietary skin mapping function as well as measuring software, which both enable the device to deliver more precise heat treatment.

The 2940 nm wavelength of HALO targets the top layer of the skin (epidermis) and can be tuned from 20μm to 100μm to carefully eliminate tissue in a gentle, controlled manner, treating textural issues and reducing the size of pores.
The 1470 nm wavelength of HALO targets the underlying part of the skin (dermis) and can be tuned from 250μm to 700μm to address deeper sun damage, trigger collagenesis, and address any other pigmental concerns.

What can I expect after my procedure?
Most Scottsdale, AZ clients will be able to return to their normal activities within 24 hours. You will be able to apply makeup right away despite some minor peeling. Over the course of 2-3 days, you will begin to see your new, revitalized complexion peeking through as the old damaged skin cells fall away. By day 4, your pristine new glow will fully shine through.
How long will my Halo results last?
While Halo results are sustainable over the long term, it’s important that you continue to protect your skin from damaging UV rays by wearing the proper sunscreen as well as protective sun hats.
Each time you undergo treatment with the Halo laser, your results will improve exponentially, leaving you with more and more youthful, blemish-free skin. You can either have several more aggressive treatments spaced out over time, or you can undergo more frequent HALO sessions that are milder.
